About Us

Our mission

DisputeMatchPro exists for one reason: to help everyday people use their rights under federal law on their own, for free.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) gives you the right to dispute wrong information on your credit report. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and its rule, Regulation F, give you the right to ask a debt collector to prove a debt and to tell it how and when it can contact you. These rights belong to you. You do not need to pay anyone to use them.

Many people never use these rights because the letters feel hard to write, the deadlines are confusing, or the information is only in English. We built free tools in English and Spanish to make that easier.

What we offer

Who runs DisputeMatchPro

DisputeMatchPro is a small business based in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Our articles are written and reviewed by our editorial team. You can read how we create content in our Editorial Policy.

What we are not

We want to be clear about our limits, so you can make good choices:

  • We are not a law firm. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using our tools does not create an attorney-client relationship. If you have a lawsuit, a court date or a possible claim against a company, talk to a consumer attorney or legal aid.
  • We are not a credit repair organization. We do not sell credit repair services, and we do not promise to remove items or raise your score. Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), you can do everything a credit repair company does yourself, for free. Our tools help you do exactly that.
  • We do not charge for letters. The letter generator is free. [CONFIRM: The generator mockup shows an optional paid “Certified mail for me” service. If you offer it, this section must be rewritten and reviewed by a lawyer for CROA compliance before launch. If not, remove that option.]
  • We do not contact credit bureaus, creditors or collectors for you. You decide whether to send a letter, and you send it yourself.
  • We cannot guarantee results. The law requires bureaus and collectors to follow certain steps. It does not require them to delete accurate information.

How we make money

Keeping the tools free costs money. We earn revenue in two main ways:

  • Affiliate and sponsored partners. Some links and finder listings go to partner companies, such as credit monitoring, debt relief or credit-builder products. If you click and sign up, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are labeled.
  • Advertising. Some pages may show ads from ad networks.

This money does not change our free tools. The letter generator, calculators and articles work the same whether or not you ever click a partner link. Partners do not write or approve our articles, and they cannot change what our letters say. Read the full details in our Advertiser Disclosure.

Our promise to you

  • We explain what the law says and what usually happens, not what we wish would happen.
  • We never encourage you to dispute information you know is accurate, to make false identity theft claims, or to use so-called CPNs or “credit sweeps.” These can be illegal and can hurt you.
  • We fix mistakes when we find them or when you tell us about them.
